WEDDING - in the most celebrated beach in the Philippines - BORACAY. As a resident wedding coordinator I can prove to you that opting to go "offshore" for your wedding event is WORKABLE.

- HIRE A RESIDENT WEDDING COORDINATOR  and pay only for the professional services for all they on how to give you the best deals, very familiar with cost cuts and pay only waht's due at cost from the wedding suppliers.

 - BOOK YOUR WEDDING IN "OFF PEAK" or "out of season times. Boracay peak season falls on Holy Week, Christmas and Chinese New Year. If wedding day is not necessary on special occassion date,book your wedding schedule and flights by sourcing an airline promo seats.

 -BOOK VILLA'S INSTEAD OF HOTEL where several couple and guests can share the rental costs. Budgeted room rates starts at P1,500 good for 2 person per night, twin size bed, free wifi access, air conditioned room, hot & cold shower and cable TV. Negotiate a deal with your resident wedding coordinator with resort or recption location and dn't be afraid to haggle.

 - HOST A BUFFET FOR 10 TO 20 GUESTS OR MORE, 5 to 9 guests for service plated meal for your reception. Bring your own wine & champagne with you. Remote locations will sometimes hike the price of imported wines and spirits because of the import duties and you will not privy to wholesale deals as you are at home. Just pay for the corkage fee for each bottle of wines and spirits, still you can save at least 50% of the selling price per bottle in the hotel. For your luggage convenience, you can also purchase here at island's local wine stores at very reasonable price. Imported wines price starts at P275 and imported champagne at P1,800 per bottle.

 - CHOOSE LOCAL & SEASONAL FLOWERS FOR YOUR BOUQUET OR DECORATIONS. To be able to catch an elegant island wedding theme, we normally use island grown flowers like hibiscus & calachuci for centerpiece, bougainvillas for floral spray and this could be pick around the island for free. More elegant flowers for the entourage like bridal bouquet will be purchased at island flower shops at minimal cost.

- CREATE YOUR OWN MUSIC WITH A PLANNED LIST OF PRE-RECORDER MUSIC ON YOUR IPOD OR MP3 PLAYER. Most resort facilities will have a stereo system for you to just plug into.

 - HIRE A PHOTOGRAHER/VIDEOGRAPHER who can offer a given time service for 3 hours, first hour on the ceremony, second hour for the cocktail and third hour for the reception. You can distribute digital cameras between your guests and get them to take fun shots for additional hours in your reception.

 - DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY & VIDEO SAVES YOU on the processing and most photography outlets will make print only the shots stored in a raw CD & raw DVD. Three hours local photrapher's fee is P7,500 and videgrapher's fee is P7,500. You can have your pesonalized album done later after you have footages by professional album maker and have your video edited by someone you know to do a pro-movie/slides making in a desktop. 48 pages US leather coated album would only cost at P6,500. Instead of giving everyone a photo from your wedding on prints, you can upload all of your photos online such as on Facebook and tag pictures of your guests who attended your wedding.

 - MAKE A LOCAL FAVORS YOURSELF AND FOR YOUR GUESTS that are fun and simple. i.e. A native bag filled with wedding personalized slipper, beach towel or sunsscreen and bottled water. A small jar filled with beach sand will do as a pernalized wedding souvenir and could be added as centerpiece fascinator.

 - It is commendable that any of your guests can do the make-over for the bride and for the rest of the members of the entourage for you to save extra cost on your wedding. Island make-up artist are quiet expensive and they costs P5,000 only for the bride and P2,500 for extra head.

 - To save your cake cost, instead of having an expensive fondant cake, you can order a 3 layered cake. First and second layer is placed with cupcakes and on the third layer is the whole piece use as a topper. 25 cup cakes could utilize to place the first 2 layers that costs P120 each, then the 1 whole piece cake taht will be used as a topper costs P1,800. Since this is a mousse cake, it can be opted as your dessert on the reception. 3-layer fondant cake costs P15,000. You can see the difference on how much you have saved.
