With the total population of 26,960, Saratoga Springs hosts the most popular event for the wealthy from around the world. For that one weekend auction in August, you cannot step outside without bumping into a multimillionaire. The most expensive horse sold this year was more than $1.2 million. In just six hours, more than 108 horses were sold in that event.
