James Reid came to the Philippines from Australia with only one thing in mind—to take care of his father. He wanted to make friends, too, and so he joined the 2010 Pinoy Big Brother Teen Clash. It became clear that the Fil-Australian was meant for bigger things when he emerged the grand winner of the reality show. This was followed by a few shows, song albums and two full length films. At 21, James is now a rising young celebrity. His biggest break came when he starred in Diary ng Pangit: The Movie with Nadine Lustre. The success of their love team resulted in their most recent movie, Talk Back and You’re Dead. PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) chatted with James at the recent AMA Shout Out concert and dance competition, which was held last August 23 at the Cuneta Astrodome, Pasay City. Asked about his relationship with Nadine, the young actor told PEP, “I do really like Nadine, she’s a really sweet girl. "Right now, I’m not looking for a relationship, but we’re close." James was modest in his reply, “We have the same target audience. "Daniel is the number one teen artist, it’s good for me to be compared to him, and it’s really flattering." He was into singing and songwriting before he was discovered as an actor, his face lighting up when he was asked about his music, “I’m quite sure I have another album coming out this year.
