MANILA – Despite all the hate messages Jane Oineza is receiving after her “Pinoy Big Brother” (PBB) stint, basketball star Jeron Teng said he still remains the actress’ number one fan.
The De La Salle Green Archer revealed this in an interview with “The Buzz” aired on Sunday.
According to Teng, he loves talking to Oineza. “Mabait talaga si Jane. She’s a happy person kasi, lagi lang tawa ng tawa kapag kinakausap ko so she’s fun to talk with. She’s dedicated to her work and sobrang family-oriented niya. We are from different worlds kasi ako basketball siya naman showbiz. Ngayon medyo busy siya pero tine-text ko pa rin,” he said.
When asked if he plans to pursue Oineza, he said, “Kung tingin ko may chance siguro, why not? Siyempre si Jane mabait naman siya, maganda. Lahat ng qualities [na hahanapin mo] sa babae, makikita mo na sa kanya, so why not?”
Teng also expressed his full support for the former “PBB” housemate.
“Jane, I’m very proud of you and I’ll always be here for you lang and number one fan mo ako dito,” he said.
During Oineza’s 18th birthday celebration inside the famous yellow house, Teng surprised the actress and they shared a brief dance as part of Oineza’s 18 roses tradition.
While it was rumored that Teng has been wooing Oineza even before the actress entered “PBB,” the basketball star revealed that he has yet to go on a "typical date" with the Oineza. He admitted though that they have gone out with a group of friends in the past.
