MANILA -- Actor-VJ KC Montero has just survived what he considers his scariest flight ever.
In his official Twitter account on Tuesday, Montero said he was on board Philippine Airlines flight PR300 to Hong Kong to interview international artist Jessie J when they encountered really bad weather.
Due to strong turbulence, the plane had a hard time to landing. After circling around, the pilots finally got to safely land the plane.
On Tuesday afternoon, the Department of Transportation and Communication announced that Hong Kong-Manila, Manila-Hong Kong flights have been cancelled after typhoon Luis (international name: Kalmaegi) hit Vietnam and Hong Kong.
Hong Kong was hit with strong winds and heavy rain on Tuesday after the No. 8 storm signal was hoisted.
Flights in and out of Hong Kong Airport were delayed, affecting thousands of passengers, with the impact expected to last well into Tuesday morning.
The typhoon brought gusts of up to 125 kph as it swept past on its way towards China's Guangdong province and Hainan Island after it plunged northern parts of the Philippines into darkness and inundated farmland. -- With report from Reuters
