THE VOICE KIDS LYCA,DARREN,JK,TONTON ON THEIR DREAM CAREERS

The Voice Kids grand winner Lyca Gairanod, runners-up Darren Espanto, Juan Karlos Labajo, and finalist Tonton Cabiles have just been granted one-year full scholarship by the Eton International School, with each grant amounting to more than P300,000. This was announced last September 17 at the launching of Ang Kunehong Kaskasero at ang Pagong na Balagong, the children's book written by radio-anchor Ahwel Paz. The kids all told the press including PEP. ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) that they are availing themselves of the school’s home-school program as they are not able to attend regular schools because of their busy schedules. “We’re all planning to be doing home-school in Eton kasi mas flexible po yung time. "At saka hindi po masyadong strict, pero we’ll still be enjoying school,” explained The Voice Kids first runner-up Darren, who will be a freshman high school student. Juan Karlos, a.k.a. JK, also a freshman, agreed with Darren. “Kasi marami po kaming schedules, halos every day may schedule po kaming guestings, mall shows. "Hindi po namin kaya ang regular school na pumupunta sa school, so home-school.” Meantime, Lyca, 8, is in Grade II, and Tonton is in Grade VI. DREAM CAREERS. The home study will particularly help Lyca, who is not fluent in English. It's her wish to learn how to speak and understand the language. Darren, on the other hand, articulated: “Ako po gusto ko yung Language Arts. "I’d like to learn more of Math and Science po para mas ma-strengthen yung mga subjects na weak spots ko po.” For his part, Tonton explained, “Ako po Science at saka English pero mahina po ako sa Math. "Yung Filipino, okay lang po.”
