Jessy Mendiola and JM de Guzman seem to have reunited when the latter’s father, Cornelio de Guzman, posted photos of them together recently. JM, who recently celebrated his 26th birthday, apparently had a party with his closest friends and among his guests was the Maria Mercedes actress.
Though they both opted not to post photos of themselves on their respective social media accounts, it was JM’s father who took to his Instagram account to post photos of them.
In an interview with him last July, the Hawak Kamay actor cleared Jessy from persisting speculations that it she—as well their breakup—was the reason why he turned to illegal drugs in 2012.
Jessy for her part was happy that JM was able to go back in the business after years of being absent. “Basta masaya ako na nakabalik na siya kasi matagal na naming sinasabi na sana makabalik na siya and now that all is well huwag na lang natin balikan yung mga tapos na,” she said.
The last time the former couple were presumed to have crossed paths was at the recently-concluded Star Magic Ball, where both of them attended without dates. The first time they saw each other since JM’s return was a few weeks ago when they were both jogging in UP. JM described the encounter as short and recounted it as, “Nag Hi-hello lang tapos ‘Uy kamusta?’ tapos sabi niya ‘Uy dito pa tayo nagkita ah.’”
