PACQUIAO HARDER TO PREPARE FOR THAN MAYWEATHER

It is harder to prepare for a bout against Filipino boxer Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao than for a fight against unbeaten superstar Floyd Mayweather Jr. –- at least, in the opinion of respected trainer Robert Garcia.
Garcia's fighters have fought both Mayweather and Pacquiao, giving the trainer the opportunity to create game plans for both men. His fighters, Antonio Margarito and Brandon Rios, both lost to Pacquiao.
Another one of his fighters, Marcos Maidana, lost to Mayweather, but earned a rematch after giving the American boxer a much harder time than expected.
"I think Pacquiao is more difficult. Pacquiao is more difficult," Garcia told Boxing Scenerecently when asked who was harder to prepare for.
"With Pacquiao, we've been in there twice, and this is going to be our second time with Mayweather, and I think Pacquiao is more difficult to try to prepare for," he added.
Garcia said Pacquiao's style gives him and his fighters trouble. "The style is in and out and side to side," he said. "He's a lot more difficult."
"The difference is the speed and the power that Pacquiao has, plus the footwork and the angles," Garcia explained further. "Mayweather is just one style, and he's very defensive, but he doesn't change much."
"Pacquiao can change," he stressed. "I think Pacquiao is more difficult."
Margarito lost to Pacquiao when they fought in 2010, and Rios was thoroughly dominated by the "Pacman" when they fought in November 2013.
Garcia has said that he would not mind a third crack against Pacquiao. Maidana, who will fight Mayweather again on September 13, has said that if he wins against the American, then he will challenge the Filipino legend.
"Why not?" Garcia said. "Why not go after the second best fighter out there? (It) makes the most money and makes the most sense. I agree with him."
